Sylvia Seventy is an iternationally known textile artist. Her work in sculptural molded paper has been exhibited in major galleries, museums, and corporate spaces throughout the United States and in Canada, Europe, Australia, Japan, Korea, and the South Seas. Ms. Seventy has worked in the Arts as an administrator, curator, teacher and lecturer for 40 years. Her artwork is represented by Browngrotta Arts in Wilton, Connecticut. She holds a B.A. and M.F.A. in Art. Her work is in the permanent collections of the Renwick Gallery at the Smithsonian American Art Museum, the Museum of Arts & Design in New York, the deYoung Museum in San Francisco, the Oakland Museum in Oakland, California and numerous other private and public collections. Ms. Seventy's studio and home is on the Russian River in Healdsburg, California, where she has resided since 1973.
