The biggest change in my life came in January 1974 when I accepted Jesus Christ into my life.
I found out in the 1990's that I have Agent Orange to thank for my medical conditions which are many. Still, I am learning and growing despite the dioxin. I have a nice, wonderful peace in my life despite these conditions. The V.A. is covering the medications, hospitalizations, primary care doctors and the ongoing care I and my wife receive because I am a veteran. God is GOOD!!
After school, I went into the Air Force.
After the service I drove for Alpha Beta stores for 10 years.
I moved to San Diego and worked on the produce docks and drove for Coast Citrus for a while.
I left them and moved to Norco in Riverside county and worked driving for Norco Ranch delivering eggs to local stores.
During this time I checked into Brea Neuropsyciatric Hospital because of an anger issue. Turned out I had a love/hate issue with my parents which I didn't know I had. This was resolved in 6 weeks. (Thank you Charles Stanley). Sure is a wonderful feeling to be free of that anger. I talked with a friend who suffered the same issues and he resolved with his parents. Yes, he is a classmate from elementary years.
I hope any of you if you have these issues, please resolve them in your life and enjoi peace within your self like I have. This is why I mentioned it here, I hope it would be a blessing to you too. Forgiveness is a freeing experience I wish for everyone.
From here I moved to Long Beach and worked for my brother Ron in his little store for about 7-8 years.
I attended Bethel Grace Baptist church and met my wonderful wife, Denise of 32 years. She worked aboard the Queen Mary for a while.
I then worked for Bethany Church as a janitor for a short time, then, left for Eugene Oregon.
We've been here since June of 1990. I continued working as a janitor for 15 years until the agent Orange was discovered. It disabled me and caused me to receive a powered electric wheel chair to use when I don't have the strength to walk.
I am still a USC Trojan fan though I occasionally root for the U of O Ducks. Here in H-burg we root for the Harrisburg High School Eagles. (They did state for a few years). It's great being up here as occasionally the big birds will fly over during a game when the sun is still up. Their girls softball team has won state several times.
SO, you are up to date on my life now, it has been interesting. I look forward to Heaven in the future, I hope your destination is Heaven too. Feel free to contact me and I'll share how to get there if you'd like, according to the Bible that is, not some philosophy.
Maybe I can come down to some reunion in the future. Bye.
